What is the ideal clothing?
Etna is beautiful all year round and obviously depending on the season the temperatures can vary. It is advisable to have layered clothing in order to better manage the temperatures, shoes play a very important role depending on the type of excursion desired even simple sports shoes can be fine, but for more technical routes it is always better to have trekking shoes. Your guide will be able to advise you on the type of clothing and footwear to wear.
Are children allowed?
Absolutely yes, we offer tours that are designed not to be too tiring and therefore perfect for the whole family. Other more challenging tours are not suitable for children under 12 y.o. The guide will be able to choose the best route for everyone together with you.
Can altitude be a problem?
Etna with its 3403m above sea level is the highest active volcano of the entire Euro-Asiatic plate. Even if the excursions are carried out in the summit parts of the volcano the altitude does not pose any problem, except for individuals with heart problems or asthma who are not advised to participate. The guide must be aware of such conditions to manage the excursion in the best and without risks.
How to reach the excursion location?
The excursions start from the place established according to the type of tour chosen by you, however if you do not have your own means of transport to reach the indicated place it is possible to organize a totally free pick-up that will take you to the place of the excursion and bring you back at the end of the tour.
How to pay for excursions?
It is possible to pay in cash or card directly to the guide on the day of the excursion, otherwise payments by Paypal or wire transfer are accepted.
